Firstly a dpool is the size specified in the Notes_SHARED_DPOOLSIZE or defaults to 12MB.
Secondly dpools can be used by multiple individual processes and for database cache.
And it is the process private pool size that has increased to 512KB in ND6 from 256KB in R5.
Has anyone got this variable to take effect on an iSeries running V5R2 and Domino 6.0.3 ( or 6 anything)? I have tried the notes.ini settings and the environment variable with no effect.
Finally, now that I understand the purpose of this better, with its origins in the UNIX world where the number of dpools is restricted, does anyone know if there is a restriction on the number of dpools on the iSeries?
